To all of Dominican Republic Complainers.
I spent almost 9 weeks in Scotland from November 2008 to January 2009 and the only way I could warm up was to get in a hot bath..... brrrrrrr, I can't handle the cold anymore either.
All of a sudden I get a craving to be back in the dark, cold snowy UK, holed up in a country boozer with a huge log fire, a pint of Guinness and the smell of two English Setters snoozing themselves dry in front of the hearth.
My Gran's Lancashire Hot-Pot and a nice piece of Barmbrack with a couple of whiskeys.
The Snow and icy wind thumping at the door but all cozy and warm with the Coronation Street omnibus on the telly.
Do they still have that these days?
I have been reading that it is all knife crime and spending cuts.

we are off to london next week and i CANNOT WAIT!
shops! pubs! SHOPS! chocolate. food. and cold. finally some other season than hothothot.
and then christmas home. i have not seen my family in 2 years. and i have not seen snow god know how long and i miss it so much.
i cannot wait to see the bright, crispy snow and total drakness at 4pm so that i can stay home, cuddle with the cat and have some hot tea with raspberry syrup. can life get any better than this?

You see!!! that is exactly my point when my wife say;Other people can handle with this weather... why can you??? my answer always is: You need to be raised here used to be at home watching TV or reading a book. That powder snow has snowmobile riding or cross country skiing written all over it....
And i would use any one of those means of transportation to get to the nearest airport and fly anywhere warm.

I am 3 season person and summer is not one of them. Its only December I'll start bitching in February. I work outside in NYC and didn't even wear a coat yesterday although I did break down and get a knitted cap.
This of course is a problem between my Dominican partner and I - he keeps turning the heat up, I keep turning it off
