Have things not changed since Covid? In the US, they're staggering appointments, temperature taken before entry, no close seating in waiting room, only patient is allowed in building, etc. Really sad if the DR still has jammed waiting rooms with people waiting for hours.

They still take temperatures? So the doctors won't see sick people?

I was in a private clinic yesterday morning.
Appointment required, yes.
Temperature check, no.
Mask worn, yes.
Hand sanitizer dispensed, yes.
Close seating, yes, but seats staggard. Occupy one, pass one, occupy one, pass one, etc.........
Accompany patient, yes, limited to 1 additional.
On time appointment, yes, as only had to wait 15 minutes from scheduled time.
This was one private clinic, and may/may not be indicative of others, and most likely does not resemble public hospitals, as they almost never do, even in the best of times.

The DR Govt has to come up[ with a better way for travelers to get tested if they want them to keep coming. Lots of reports of people with no tests or the wrong tests getting left behind. Even some accounts from people who got the right test but did not receive the results in time. The first world clearly does not understand the abilities of the developing world when they set up these requirements. Maybe that was the point all along to get people to stay home and not travel. Doesn't much help those who left home long before the pandemic though.

I am not truly sure what your reference to a "secret lair" is about, as my posting was in regards to a private clinic (clinica) and it's current Covid measures, as was asked in posting #443 by AE. I happened to visit one yesterday morning.
Private clinic in that, it is not a public hospital. Not private in that, a secret knock and password are needed to gain entry. Every town has them. Nothing new. Insurance plans are recommended, but you may pay out of pocket if so desired.
Again my statement was in reference to a private clinic and it's Covid measures in response to a question posed. Not a place to receive the PCR testing for Canada entry, although there is a testing labratory across the street from the clinica I visited yesterday.
Are you located along the south eastern corridor?

Some people want to know what clinic without asking the question directly, it would seem.

I'm not Canadian so I have no dog in this fight, but what sense does that make when you can go to Montreal or Vancouver to fly? What is the point?
Cutting back due to lack of bookings ...all airlines are cutting back new rules of test hurt bookings..

"plus I'm sure". Bold words in today's ever-changing world! If you go back to page 1 of this discussion, many said the same as you, about the PCR test.
