The challenges of getting a PCR test here in the DR for use to get on a Flight to Canada in English within 3 days of flying sounds insurmountable.

I would be "shocked" if this was a requirement for Canadian citizens or legal residents to be tested before going home.
This like a 440 shock! PCR tests are 83% accurate at best with most being false positives.

I thought you needed software from Adobe to do that. Anyone of course can by it but I thought pdf's were not editable without the software.

Right. Forgot that most don't have the software as I do. You can get a fully working 30 day trial though.

It is not just the questionable PCR test, but we also have to get the new DR Exit form electronically, I tried that and not possible, will have to get someone else to do it for me; then we need to submit our 14 day isolation plan for approval..... one will rely upon the other to be submitted all upon a dubious PCR test,
It also shows false negatives.

What will they do with their returning citizens who don't have a negative test? Imprison them?
Hopefully the Opposition will squash this like the bug it is and put the matter straight. DO PCR tests at port of entry. Thats ok by me.
If Positive then do another one , if negative ...no worries but if Positive again then a blood test is in order. send results to me in Quarintine.

Laws were written by those who understand them for those who don't......

I doubt that.
Canadians have a real bee in their bonnet about the non-stop international flights that have been going on all year, while being 'instructed' to continue sacrificing.
Justin Castreau is throwing the great unwashed masses a bone with this stupid, useless new rule. And if it creates more chaos and confusion, all the better.
They have bombarded us with fear and conflicting information all year, it's a tactic to stop people from using their common sense and critical thinking skills.
Just my opinion, of course.

My apologies if I have monopolized this thread, not intentional for sure.
Where I come from we do not use the term "EH!".... but we do say 'Some good'.
I guess I will have to delay my Medical Treatment for another four months.
Why not, I have been stranded here for the past 10 months anyway, what's another 4 months......
Time to chill out and live in my little world of Make believe Reality. Is that even possible ?

Are you Canadian, eh?

It would be hilarious if Canada imposed this on their own citizens and legal residents, but I don't think they did. Those people would just get to sit at home for 2 weeks:
This PCR test rule will apply to all passengers including Canadians.
My understanding is that the Quebec province government made this request to the feds after seeing many Canadians partying without social distancing in Mexico.

So this law is a reaction to those Canadian travelers partying without social distancing.

Actually a PCR test can be read and results ginen in a few hours.
But remember it could take one day for that to happen. My last test took 36 hours to get results to me.....
That was by Telephone. Canada will require a certification In English or French....
You show the certification at a Dominican airport before boarding. Why would it need to be in English or French?

Airport employees/customs in DR will be the ones reading the certificate, not Canadian officials.

To clearify in DR it Takes 15 days for results I hear..
Where did you hear that please?

I'm supposed to go to DR on the 1st but if as a Canadian citizen i have to take a PCR test that will take 15 days to produce results, i might just have to cancel my trip and take the financial loss.
