WestJet cancelled my husbands return flight on Feb. 15. Departure of Feb. 5 is still a go. They told him he would be able to depart but not return.

True for the current Covid virus and most of the variants. Questionable for the hyper infectious South African variant apparently resistant to the current suite of vaccines.
Auryn. It was doomed to failure anyway. The logistics of continued worldwide testing for returning passengers is a nightmare. The whole premise in the UK, Canada, and the US was testing enforcement to prevent the influx of the new variants. They were already in those countries before the testing began. We seem to be going from one government misstep to another, regardless of which country your living in.

My wife and I have both done it outside of the 96 hours needed for our flights, it was extended and even if it is needed by the within 72 hours when your son needs the test, you go when they tell you to go...They will take care of the times etc. It gets sent to SD Referenia Lab and the time and dates are when it's done in SD not when you go to Bournigal..

We got our results whatsapped to us. I had to call over and over to get results the am of my flight, they came to my wife's whatsapp 8:30am for her 1:50 pm flght today and my friend had her results emailed to her the am of her west jet sat flight.

I believe he should be a leader for the RD, and not give in to the pressures of foreign entities, and pansies of the world.
As I mentioned before on another thread, he applied for Canadian Citizenship in December 2019. That is still delayed due to Covid, but would have otherwise been finalized sometime in July-August of 2020.
His Dominican passport expired in May 2019, and he planned to go to the DR to renew it. He had flights booked for Jan. 8, 2020, but he was worried about delays at the passport office there and not being able to return to Canada for work in time.
Those flights were cancelled in November because he decided to go through the Canadian Consulate for passport renewal instead. They told him it could be 6-8 weeks. He received his renewed passport less than 3 weeks later. The February flights were booked the same day.

I’m frustrated waiting for a medical procedure delayed by Covid and my Covid vaccinations are delayed. They prevent me from returning to the DR. My frustrations are minor compared to yours.
