Chris Colon also. Another fascinating and spectacular DR1 character. He had an original take on all aspects of life in the DR.
He was married to a very young and tiny Dominicana and he was a big bellied Southern/Texan type if I recall correctly.
It would be nice if we had a way to reach out to them to find out how they are doing or if they are deceased.
By their posts some of the more controversial characters you could construct a personality.

Prison in the US....not DR...at least the ones of which I am aware.
Golo is/was the only one that I am aware of that made money in the peso at height of the Baninter scandal and bailout.
CC was a good ole southern boy............but only if you think Ohio is in the south. His later year ties were to the Boston area.

What a character Golo. It would be nice to take each of these exceptional DR1.COM characters and take all of their posts into an individualized book. Each character with their own book. I'd pay for each one gladly.

DV8 also exceptional for being that odd Eastern European female married to a Dominican and living in the DR. Eastern Europeans, highly intelligent, specifically the females.
Her take and insights clearly came from a distinctly cultural vantage point.
Thankfully, HB is still with us and still posts occasionally.

Yes, Gorgon could always be relied upon for an interesting opinion. I miss his contributions, but he fell foul of the powers that be here once too often! He's a good guy in person too.
