hillbilly is right. In santiago, if you want a beeper girl (call girl), they ask for a cuero. Sluts who hang at bars and get picked up by men are also cueros. Any slut is a cuero and any hooker is a cuero.

One thing to consider that "cuero" is mostly applied to females that look or dress in a specific way.
For example a SL*T can be very classy looking girl, but she likes to get down and dirty. Unless you know her she won't be called a cuero because she does not look like one.
In other words being called a cuero is a bad thing even if you are not one.

Ok, you are right, makes more sense. I have never heard this term used in DR so naturally I didn';t know the proper usage of the word. "Ella es mona" makes a whole lot of sense, however, your usage of the term wouldn't apply to girls in sosua, cabarete and boca chica.andrea9k said:
