Actually the need to keep the US-Canada border closed is more a Canadian need. We’re opening up everywhere. Factories, Provincial and National parks, malls in major cities, hospitals are gearing up for elective surgeries, schools are opening in certain provinces. Our overall virus numbers are good. The states with the highest number of infections and deaths, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are relatively close to the Canadian border. Their numbers are declining but still pose a risk for non-essential border travel. The fact that we are doing so well may give us access to the DR quickly once the DR government gives the okay.
