Cabarete
You can only extend it for 30 days and
The number of people that overstay is insignificant compared to the revenue being lost just in Punta Cana or just from the Cruise industry. Millions of entry and exit fees for those tourists versus a few thousand overstay fees. It is no wonder they have not focused much on the snowbird issue.
I think they haven't focused on the snowbird issued because they are very happy collecting their overstay fees.

I wonder why they are collecting data on entry/exit ?

Same as the traffic ticket system..... then they implemented the data.... used it

What will they do with the entry/exit data?
can't say ...........
what's important is that they're collecting it......

Hopefully you were drunk when you posted this crap, and you're not really a guy with 40 posts going after other members.
A massive number of posts doesn't prevent you from big a jerk. 40 or 4k makes no difference. Yes I am that guy. When someone says ,"one of the worst things from 9/11 is the way he was treated by airline agents" is simply sick. Makes you wonder about his priorities 19 years later.

lol. you said you were a ticket agent for "decades " , now you say you had several businesses, the internet is so great, next thing I'm sure you will tell us you are a model. Hey everyone enjoys a good fiction read.
So Little, with your lack of understanding that a person can have a multi-decade career in an industry AND have businesses, actually incorporated businesses, not like the wooden pushcart that you sell fruit from a business,it is possible. Several of my friends, both active and retired agents do. So all those years that you looked down at and derided airline agents were actually business owners but we don't consider a wooden pushcart a business.Your attempt to demean them with your comments makes us laugh at "businessmen" like you even heartier. The interwebs are indeed full of businessmen like you.

Yeah, the mods need to open up kindergarten---- errrr OT---- to keep the kids/biznismen/astronauts/politologues amused.

Otherwise, AA sometimes shows my flights, sometimes not, when i check with my flight locator thingy....... fun times !
My UA flight still shows operating on July 8 but that means little at this point.

As a US citizen, I have never seen anything to indicate the US cares if its citizens live outside US borders regardless of their "status" in another country. As long as you pay your taxes, all is good.

Canadians have the issue of health care going away dependent upon their province if they are out of Canada too long. No idea about the EU.

Looks like DR airports reopen July 1, unless that changes.
Brits lose access the their NHS as ex-pats if they live abroad on a permanent basis. Also their life insurance if they don't notify the carrier..

But you're still smarting from being emasculated by a female ticket agent. You described the incident as 1 of the "real tragedies of "9/11". Remember that lunacy?

But Mr. Karmatouer is that any different than you continuing here with each post doing a put down on the poster or the Dominican culture.? Watching you play the game is like watching a tennis match. And if I may also ask>>>what value is in it for you?? Really, if you are so humble one would think you might consider adding to the forum not coming into someone else's living room and farting. Believe me there are many of us that been living here for a long time and we kinda have farting rights. We do it all day long .Over to you. Don't shoot the messenger sir.

If you look at my posts, many of them actually contribute to this forum. Like calling out MikeWebster for lying about repatriation flights being free if you have a return ticket. Simply not the fact and I provided evidence because I know firsthand. Then he said he is only concerned with Germans, not Americans who I believe make up the majority of posters on this forum. Wasting time on bored ex-pats locked away is amusing. When someone demeans your career because they were a "businessman" who complained that a "major downside to 9/11 is how he was butt-hurt by airline agents being rude to him" 19 years later shows his state of mind. In no way have I demeaned the Dominican culture. I appreciate where you are coming from.I have been an ex-pat in 3 countries since retirement. Never have I demeaned a person's work or career. Do you find that acceptable? When I called out his buddy for lying about free repatriation flights if you had a return ticket, which is an absolute lie and I provided evidence, he started the crap throwing. I should have considered the source and let it slide. And since you referenced the small number of posts, take a minute or 2 to see if I have contributed. I appreciate your input.

I guess that is fair for Brits and Canadians to lose such benefits because most likely they are not paying any taxes to their home countries.
Out of sight, out of mind.

The tax burden to the US never goes away, but of course there is no national health care plan to worry about losing.

As for people overstaying, there simply have not been enough of those people to change the system to make people staying for longer than a month easily legal.
That time may never come for the DR. Or something may change because of the current situation. I cannot predict it.

you have a good memory, I did milk a cow in grade school on a field trip once. In reference to sense of entitlements and self worth true and true, that's why our paths wont cross, I dont sit on plastic chairs on the side of the street, :)

You're very aggressive and insulting. In your previous post you played the 9-11 card, but your online demeanor is one of pure self interest and dou---ness. Keep up with your aggressive posts and you may be on a vacation. IMHO, Striker

I think the current situation will change a lot......

Other countries quarantine arrivals.... RD needs to bring them in (paying) and sequester them.
The 'free range' tourist might be a while waiting ....

Residents = No
