As Anderson Silva would say "Mayweather Who!"

Anderson Silva recently was put to sleep by a guy from Long Island. He said that because Mayweather disrespected him first in an interview. Mayweather asked the reporter, "Anderson who?" :)

Damm Pops, let it go, watch the guys (and girl) on NASCAR turn left for a few hours. You know what you are, no need to convince everyone else

I'm going to release you today because I am in a jovial mood. Which channel is NASCAR on because its not my type of sport? :)

Yes, Mayweather has somehow missed the paradigm shift, MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world and Boxing has been left in the dust. Yes on the rare occasion there is a BIG fight like undefeated Mayweather, then they watch his severely overpaid action less performances.
Anderson finally at age 38 was dethroned by a young guy (because he made a critical clowning error). But in reality he has been dominant in an action filled sport. I was a boxer back in the day and love and respect the sport BUT I realize todays full package "fighter" are todays UFC stars. Normally a champion boxer would punch out anyone, even in a no rules street fight, but put Mayweather in a bar room brawl against Jose Aldo (UFC 145lb Champ) and he will be in big trouble.

I would be in big trouble too with the little old lady from the sewing channel but each one has his/ her discipline. We have to stay in our lanes bro :). Thanks for your candid contribution

Thank God, my personal hemorrhoid has found someone else to talk down to and after all I am "released?" Getting rid of pops is almost as satisfying as sending a Marine to sea

I do have to agree with this post, varying disciplines have different contenders and unusual for them to cross

There was much talk about the Great Bass Rutten Bas Rutten - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia supposedly putting the even greater Brian Urlacher Brian Urlacher - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia in "his place" during an argument. I have no doubt Rutten would massacre Urlacher in a fight, but as I said to one stubborn MMA supporter: "Give Rutten a football and tell him to try and run past Urlacher and see what happens"

Different sports fro different participants, I respect any that really participate

Pops, I thank you for the "release" but have to tell you I don't swing that way, so if you would find someone else to fixate on I would be most appreciative, and I realize having the last word is a thing with you so go for it......

Bro, you're more boring than watching paint fall. :)

If you agreed with the post, as stated, then why demean the little credibility you have? :) You're a little boy trapped in a man's body and your little ego needs daily massages. I stand behind everything I've stated on this thread or any other. You're the one licking wounds from the past and are flustered easily.

Again, I would remind you to talk about the fight just to bring you back to some semblance of reality. See I don't need to infuse petty things in a rebuttal. :)

Mayweather is the boss. Canelo is good but looked like a sparring partner, that tells you how much he was surclassed by Floyd.

PS: The judge who saw a draw should retire.

I'm glad some of you are smart enough not to compare boxing with UFC. I get tired of hearing the arguments in favor of UFC. I've seen plenty of boring UFC fights, so lets not pretend this is a boxing problem. Put a top UFC fighter in the boxing ring and he will lose. Put a boxer in the octagon, he will lose. It really depends on the individual. I seen plenty of street fights when the " martial artist" got his but kicked by a normal person.
I like both and favor neither. Mayweather is 1 of the greatest fighters ever no matter the sport.
Also Bill Russell was a defensive center, but guess what? He was a winner just like Mayweather.

I grew up with traditional martial arts, kickboxing, Muah Tai etc. In those martial arts we didn't have to do a 69 with a guy. Don't get me wrong UFC is tough I just don't like to have a guy's crotch in my face, now if it would be with a woman. :bunny:

I am training Martial arts since 2000 : Pencak Silat ( from Indonesia) which is a complete martial arts (ground, stand up,kicks, fists , elbows etc) and Muay Thai (since 2008) and I must say that I'd like to see the Traditional Martial Arts Grandmasters into the octogone.

UFC fighters are the most accomplished fighters, Anderson Silva (when he is not clowning around like during his last fight) is a beast on the octogone, and you can see that he has a professional Muay Thai background.

However I agree with your comment any UFC fighter will receive a beatdown into the ring ( English Boxing), including Junior Dos Santos who wants Klitschko ( who is a whack Boxer BTW). The same remark could apply to professional English Boxers into the UFC Octogone...And the street is even more different. I know some Shotokan Karate black belts who received an @ss whupping in the streets.

people always think that being more skilled in certain different areas it means that the winner already is decided.

a fight on the streets is not based on a your turn my turn regulation, a fight is based on who knocks the other one out first by all means necessary.

mayweather vs. silva, if anything..

mayweather has a great advantage on throwing punches and ducking punches
silva has a great advantage of almost everything else that comes with it

BUT EVEN THEN, we never seen mayweather on his back fighting people, we don't know if he is on his back he will turn into the ultimate warrior to mess everybody up! people tend to forget that he might be a boxer but even soccer players can fight so why a boxer can't?

That as funny! Mayweather is now pondering the idea of promoting MMA fights. So the incessant question of Silva who??...or Mayweather who??...might soon be over. :)

Very valid, the first punch (Especially when the person throwing the punch has skill) usually determines a street fight

as much as I dislike his character, if Mike Tyson sucker punched Cain Velasquez, Silva or whomever, the fight is very likely to be over or shortly would be. Same goes the other way, though from my limited exposure with MMA I don't see the participants as capable as taking a punch as well as a boxer

Speaking of kickboxing, wasn't that supposed to kill boxing too? Everyone thought kickboxing was going to takeover in the 80s, but it never happened.
