When there is a real thaw there will be so much money for hotels, Internet providers, MEDICAL providers for sure, etc, that the island will tilt. It will tilt with prosperity. Just be friends with the government and the government structure may be conducive for business. My best to the Cuban people.

Cuba is also known for hookers. My brother ( Canadian) worked in Cuba dealing with the Cuban government on a daily basis for almost two years. Cuba has a huge bureaucracy that is very cumbersome as well as very corrupt. I think until you see some kind of compensation to the American companies and citizens that had their private property confiscated by the Cuban government you will not see huge investments.

the media is what people see when they think of Americas interest in Cuba. I personally do not think most Americans are interested in Cuba. no one I know even talk about it. Iagree however Cuba owes so much money I do not see anyone investing anything now. Airlines are not in any hurry to open gates in there. maybe jet blue or one like that.

I don't understand all the enthusiasm about Cuba, I think many posters have an idillyc image of the island... cubans speaking real Spanish, hookers only in punta cana, medical care, crime...

Let me explain my view on crime: in Spain after Franco died, the country progressed in the path of democracy, pornography, drugs, crime etc. All this was foreseen and accepted by Franco and such he told to the american envoy Vernon Walters.

My bet is that same thing will happen in Cuba if it opens. More crime, freedom etc

Buying real estate in Cuba?? please don't even consider it, at least until the rules of the game are clear cut!

Romeo Santos and 'nice songs' should not be written in the same sentence. That's like saying Justin Bieber is the Canadian Van Morrison. And John Lennon and Bob Marley wrote for Britney Spears and Vanilla Ice.

What do you call good music. I like certain songs of his, like Imagine. I agree with you on his looks.
