Oh! This breaks my heart! He was such a great guy! He shared the love of cooking with me and we often discussed recipes.

I hope heaven is filled with a good barbecue, because he is a master!

A giant loss for us all on DR1, WW was always there with insightful and helpful posts across the board on the North Coast and DR in general.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends in this loss. RIP WW

So sad to read this.
AE, do you know if there will be a service in Ontario?

I really don’t know, he left Canada a long time ago. His “home” away from Cabrera was Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was originally from Fergus, Ontario.

Does anyone know if William passed in DR or was he with family in the states ?
He was a true champion of life in the Cabrera/Nagua area.

Always enjoyed his posts. Witty and intelligent. Often in 3 short paragraphs.

Never verbose, always succinct. His own unique style.

He will be missed. RIP WW

I echo all the sentiments above. I didn't know him personally but enjoyed his informative, sensible posts here and found him very helpful when I contacted him for advice.

Although we tussled (here on dr1) on occasion, I had the utmost respect for him.
Most times he held himself above the fray and dr1 will sorely miss his activity.
I'll say a prayer for William Webster today.
Condolences to his family and friends.
