the last Penalty Shootout on a World Cup been for Germany in 2006,
homecountry,
in the QUARTERFINAL against ARGENTINA,
more Coincedences needed????

the Game been tied 1:1 after 120 minutes.
out of the 5 each Team had to shoot only 4 Penalties,
because then it was CLEAR.
Germany scored ALL 4!!!
Argentina only 2 scored and 2 missed, so no 5th Kick needed.
Germany Won,
Argentina is waiting for revenge on Saturday.

but even starting good they did not show a big game til now,
but a good bunch of bad small sidefouls, very disappointing.
Netherlands will loose the Semi against Ghana,
Germany Ghana will be the final

I can't believe brazil is gone ! Against Netherlands ? I will never ever bet on World cup again, it hasn't been fruitful this year :(

I just checked at the Centro Domincano - Aleman which is in the Colonial Zone. They are going to set up a large Screen outside. And they will have a lot of German beer and Wuersten. As I am neutral and watching the game at German Cultural House I am hoping the game to go all the way to penalties. And yes I think I know who will win that.

What a big deception for all the Brazilian fans (I'm one of them) but life goes on... Now I would really like Ghana to win this afternoon, first African country to move on to the semi-final.
For the other teams I hope a win for Germany and Spain.

what a Fu.. darn Day, co.no,
the Dutch beated in a rare game my beloved Brazilians, even not unawaited,
and then we had this afternoon in CABEZA DE TORO/PUNTA CANA
3 fuc..g Power outs, my Claro internet still not working since noon,
Typing on a weak but sometimes going out VIVA connection of a nice neighbour.
I missed the last 5 minutes plus the extra time plus the penalties due that ****,
at least it didn't bother the eye candies on Da Beach, lol.
really sorry for Ghana,
would have loved to see them against the Germans in the first ever African Final.
so my new guess is simply that the Germans will face the big european grown up enemy Holland in the Final.
I did not see the Dutch any strong today,
but Brazil very weak and shaky, darn.
a lucky goal for the equalizer made the Dutch strong and let the brazilians really look more than shaky.
by the time the Dutch scored the 2nd Goal it was simply deserved due "out of their mind" Brazilian opponents.
very disappointed.
Ghana been the team I wished all the luck or "Referees" of the world needed til they have to face Germany in a Final, but the Gods of soccer had also a Power Out today, lol.
Germany will send Argentina home in the morning 3:1,
believe me or never try again to be my friend.
Spain should take Paraguay but fail heavy on the Semi,
that Forlan is a heck of a Player,
2 classes up of a KaKa as a valuable Team Worker,
the Spaniards would need a very exceptional good day to break that defense and keep the just 2 offenders off making that Goal.

Folks, I'm a baseball man, so don't know much about the beautiful game of football.

In baseball, most consider Willie Mays the greatest ever, although Hank Aaron had better numbers (HRs, RBIs, Average, etc...). Numbers don't tell the whole story in baseball.

So, here's my question to you all:

Greatest ever? Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldo, Cruyff, Romario, Hugo S?nchez, Garrincha, Beckham, T. Henry, Chinaglia, or others?
