Legend Cruise Co., a Gibraltar-based company has announced the start of their cruise operations in the Caribbean. The company has chartered the MTS Odysseus from Royal Olympic Cruises on a bare boat basis, and will rename it MTS Joywave. Legend Cruise Co. will specialise in short cruises (3 and 4 days) from popular U.K. and Canadian tourist destinations. The first (year around) cruise operation will start on October 2nd, 2000 from the Port of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The 3 day cruise will sail to Santiago de Cuba, Cuba (with an overnight stay); the 4 day cruise will sail to Montego Bay, Jamaica and Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. The following tour operators currently feature Legend Cruises in the UK: JMC, Cosmos – Tropical, First Choice, and the UNIJET all include Legend Cruises in their year 2000-2001 brochures. Canadian tour operators Signature Vacations, Holiday Network, and Red Seal Tours will also be featuring the product in their brochures by August 2000. For further information contact Michael J.
