Silvano Lora, vanguard artist and innovator, died on Saturday, 12 July in Santo Domingo, at the age of 72. Described as the Dominican Quixote, he was a most prolific person, having been an outstanding painter, drawer, muralist, writer, film promoter and creator, poet and revolutionary. His last wish was for the placement of a painting by Plutarco Andujar at his bedside in the Plaza de la Salud Hospital.
