The Emergency Operations Center (COE) has placed three provinces on green alert, due to a weather front that will cause rains and thunderstorms across much of the country.
The provinces on alert are San Pedro de Macoris, Hato Mayor and El Seibo for possible flooding, overflowing of rivers, and landslides.
According to the National Meteorological Office (ONAMET), the rains will be mostly in the east and the northeast.
