The Dominican Professional Baseball League has announced that the championship will open at the Quisqueya Ball Park in Santo Domingo on Thursday, 15 October 2015 at 7:30pm. Licey and Escogido, the two capital city teams, will play.
On Friday, games will follow with the Aguilas matching the 2014-2015 Champions Gigantes del Cibao at the Julian Javier ballpark in San Francisco de Macoris, and the Toros del Este playing the Estrellas Orientales at the Tetelo Vargas stadium in San Pedro de Macoris. 150 games will be played as part of the regular season.
