The Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMET) reported that six people on two motorcycles were killed in the very early morning hours of Monday, 27 July 2015, on the road between Nagua and Sanchez, after being struck by a car. The car’s driver, 46-year old Diego Ventura, was injured in the collision and taken to the Nagua public hospital. He was driving an Acura.
The victims were identified as 24-year old Reinaldo Rondon Garcia; 25-year old Jose Manuel Martinez,; 31-yar old Andrea Martinez Frias, 22-year old Alfonso Rondon Garcia, 17-year old Maria Virgen Germosen Martinez, and 16-year old Maria Altagracia Germosen Martinez.
AMET said that when they reached the scene of the accident in the early hours of the morning they only found five bodies but later the remains of Alfonso Rondon Garcia was found on the roof of a nearby house.
