The Medina administration appointed Maria Teresa Nanita Espanol as the general manager of the new National Export Bank (Bandex). The position had been held by Federico Antun, president of the PRSC party, who had resigned from the post to dedicate himself to the presidency and presidential candidacy of that minority party.
Nanita was sworn into the post by the president of the bank board, Eduardo Selman. She said her first priority in the post will be to complete the conversion from the BNV to the new Bandex.
