Scotiabank invests US$20 million after Progreso merge

Gonzalo Parral, general manager of Scotiabank says the company is investing US$20 million in technology to carry out the merger with the Banco Dominicano del Progreso. Parral said the merger would be completed in around 12 months. “We are investing heavily in technology to become a better bank. We want to be a digital bank, we want to be leaders to improve the customer experience,” said Parral, in a meeting with local financial writers.
