
Dominican violinist Aisha Syed is booked for a 10 October 2019 performance at the Carnegie Hall of New York City. She is returning to Carnegie’s Zankel Hall after an acclaimed sold-out performance. The performance is part of her Heritage World Tour, which is taking her to 11 countries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The concert comprises pieces that form her diverse musical identity as a Dominican with an Pakistani background growing up in the United Kingdom who later moved to the United States.
The New York-based Dominican Heritage and Culture Society (DHCS) presents the performance as their third annual concert with proceeds supporting their newly established scholarship fund. DHCS scholarships will be given to underserved young Dominican talents pursuing their dreams in music, art, history, literature, and the performing arts.
