Agora Mall, a major shopping center in Santo Domingo, is telling its customers that its stores will now be open later. The government announced this Tuesday, 15 December 2020 that curfew in the National District (Santo Domingo) will be from 7pm to 5am every day of the week plus a two-hour grace period for people to get home. Agora Mall says that it means their shops can now stay open until 7pm. In the past, the stores had to close at around 6pm to give time for their workers to commute home because the curfew was 7pm.
The leading city shopping mall says that on Saturday, 19 December, Sunday, 20 December stores and services will be open from 8am to 7pm, and the food court and restaurants will be open from 10am to 7pm. Jumbo will be open from 7am to 7pm.
On Monday, 21 December and Tuesday, 22 December and Wednesday, 23 December, the stores and services will be open from 9am to 7pm. The food court and restaurants will open from 10am to 7pm and Jumbo will be open from 7am to 7pm.
