The National Drug Control Agency confirmed that cocaine was the white powder in 500 packages confiscated in a raid on an unoccupied residence in the upscale Los Cacicazgos neighborhood in western National District.
The drugs were confiscated at the two-level residence located on Calle Nibaguana 19. The DNCD intelligence determined the dwelling was used for warehousing and preparing drugs intended for shipping to Europe through Dominican ports.
The drugs weigh 515.37 kilograms, as determined by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).
The Public Prosecutor’s Office and the DNCD continue to expand the investigation to arrest and bring to justice the members of this international drug trafficking network, made up of European and Dominican nationals, the DNCD reports.
