Get vaccinated at a Dominican ballpark

The Dominican Baseball League announced its support to the efforts to reach the goal of having 70% of the population vaccinated by August 2021. Vaccination centers are now set up at ballparks and promotions will be carried out through social media.

Lidom is getting leading Dominican baseball players and Dominican team spokespeople to participate in a new social media campaign to motivate people to get vaccinated.

In a press release, Lidom announces it is converting ballparks into vaccination centers. The vaccination centers will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.
As of 7 June, Francisco Micheli, La Romana

As of 9 June, Cibao, Santiago; Tetelo Vargas, San Pedro de Macorís; Quisqueya, Santo Domingo.

“We must close ranks with the efforts of the authorities who, by the way, are doing a formidable job in this aspect and the vaccination rates indicate this,” said Vitelio Mejía Ortiz, president of Lidom.

Mejía Ortiz says they are working closely with the Office of the Vice President to coordinate their participation in VacunateRD.
