Cruz Baldera is new bishop of San Francisco; who will replace him as rector of the PUCMM?

President Luis Abinader and Vice President Raquel Peña were present as the Catholic Conference of Bishops installed Ramon Alfredo de la Cruz Baldera as the new bishop of the diocese of San Franciso de Macoris. De la Cruz Baldera is a native of San Francisco de Macoris. He is the rector of the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra. He is a former rector of the Northeast University in San Francisco de Macoris. The ceremony took place at the Julián Javier Baseball Stadium. The PUCMM has not announced a new rector.

Cruz Baldera had been rector of the PUCMM in since January 2015 when he replaced Monsignor Agripino Núñez Collado, who was one of the founders and had head the university since 1970. At the time, Cruz Baldera was said to be named for a four-year term.
