The man who appeared in videos that have circulated widely on social media slapping and kicking Santa Arias who had crashed her small motorbike (pasola) into his vehicle now is conditioning his turning himself in. Santa Arias had right of way on the street. The incident involving Alexis Villalona in Baní, Peravia happened after midnight on 31 December 2021, and still the Police has not apprehended the man whose face has been all over the internet.
Over the holidays, Diario Libre reported Villalona’s defense is negotiating his turning himself in with the condition he not be sent to the main jail in Peravia. He fears for his life because of an inmate already interned at the jail.
