Investigative journalist Nuria Piera followed up on the abandonment of modern mental health management at the most important public mental hare care center for the population of Greater Santo Domingo. Piera criticized that Minister of Public Health Daniel Rivera for downplaying the previous report when he said the videos shown were from 2018.
Piera highlighted that the images from 2018 shown were to present the contrast between what had been modernized in 2018 to what there is now. In the follow up that aired on the past Saturday, she again presented dramatic images of the set back at the center now under the new authorities of the Ministry of Public Health. She said she would be following up if there are improvements at the center.
