Christmas with lower prices at Inespre

The Abinader administration has launched a program that offers basic food items through the locations of the National Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre).

The “Christmas with Change with Inespre” will run through 7 January 2023 and provides produce at below market prices. Included is poultry, staples such as rice, beans, plantains and other farm products.

The dates are next Friday and Saturday, in North Santo Domingo, then Santiago the 16th and 17th, then West Santo Domingo on the 22nd and 23rd. then San Francisco de Macoris on the 27 and 28 December, East Santo Domingo on the 29th and 30th, and then Los Alcarrizos and San Cristobal the following two weekends.

What can you buy? A 12-pound leg of pork for RD$750; a 3.5-lb frozen chicken for RD$150; 10 pounds of pork chops for RD$800; select rice at RD$20.00 per pound. Also featured will be plantains at RD$5.00 and garlic at RD$90.00/lb. And the list is much longer. There are also super combos that will feature the most basic items at very low cost.
