
Millions of personal documents in the Migration Agency database are circulating online. The documents were hacked recently.
Noticias SIN reported that more than five million files were released by the cybercriminal group Rhysida, which had hacked the database of the Migration Agency on 14 September 2023, the date the National Center of Cybersecurity was notified.
At 7:30pm on Tuesday, 10 October 2023, the hackers released the data when the Migration Agency did not pay the requested ransom and no other buyer was interested.
The released documents include passports, identification cards, addresses, telephone numbers, and other documents stored in the Migration database.
