The media continues to release the names of the selected candidates for the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party.
The PRM chose its candidates for 49 municipalities, yet others are to be announced. The party also announced deputy candidates in 14 provinces and the National District. The chosen includes Alfredo Pacheco, president of the Chamber of Deputies, who was selected to run for the position for the second district of the National District.
The political party used the polling companies — Ipsos, Centro Económico del Cibao and Gallup Dominicana.
The totality of the candidates needs to be revealed this October 2023.
The municipal elections are scheduled for 18 February 2024. The presidential and congressional elections will be on 19 May 2024.
