Diario Libre reports on the millions the professional unions receive and the little transparency in the use of the funds by these organizations.
The focus is on the Dominican Association of Public School Teachers – Asociación Dominicana de Profesores (ADP), the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) – Colegio Médico Dominicano (CMD), the Dominican Association of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors (Codia), and the Dominican Bar (CARD).
The newspaper says that when these report on the use of government allotments and membership fees, they do so with years of delay.
