The Chamber of Deputies turned into law, by declaring urgency and approving in two consecutive readings, the bill that authorizes the Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Hacienda, to issue and place public debt securities for more than RD$363.2 billion pesos or its equivalent in foreign currency. The initiative goes to the Executive Branch for enactment and will support the approved 2024 National Budget.
The public debt securities bill had already passed in the Senate on 13 December 2023.
