Minister Faride Raful told reporters that the Ministry of the Interior and Police is initiating a campaign to fight crime in the hot spots that have been identified in the Greater Santo Domingo area.
With the tongue-twisting name of “The Combined and Coordinated Interventions of the Prioritized Sectors of the National District,” the operation will use all the resources of the National Police and also members of the Armed Forces to implement law and order.
The Ministry, with the approval and encouragement of President Abinader, is urging the various participants in the anti-crime operation to “be prudent” because a nation where laws are not applied and obeyed is anarchy.
