Following closely in the standings are the San Pedro de Macoris-based Estrellas Orientales and the Toros del Este of La Romana. The capital city teams, Leones del Escogido and Tigres del Licey, are in 4th and 5th place in the standings. The San Francisco de Macoris-based team, Gigantes del Cibao is at the bottom of the standings.
