Dominicans are big smokers

Cigarettes continue to be good business in the Dominican Republic, despite the well-known detrimental effects on health. A World Health Organization report shows that the country occupies the fourth place in the world among those whose men smoke the most. The report states that 66.3% of Dominican men smoke frequently.
