30% hike in ground cargo rates

The powerful trucking union, Fenatrado announced a 30% increase in cargo fares. Fenatrado justifies the hike due to the diesel price increase in effect since last Saturday. Indotel rules to return channels to original owners

The board of Indotel revoked the license issued in favor of Circuito Independencia for the operation of channel 6, a VHF frequency, on grounds that it had been irregularly granted by former Telecom director Rubén Montás. Likewise, it recognized Camilo Carrau Villanueva as the legitimate owner of the frequency of Channel 21, a UHF frequency.
