Court convicts Baez Cocco

Marcos Baez Cocco, the former vice-president of Banco Intercontinental (Baninter), has been found guilty of violating Dominican Monetary and Finance Law. He was sentenced to eight years in prison, and ordered to pay 25% of what Ramon Baez Figueroa has to pay (RD$45.469 billion) to the Central Bank and RD$50,082,450 to the Superintendent of Banks. …
