One of the first major hotel investors in Puerto Plata, Don Isidro Garcia passed away yesterday. He was the head of the family that built the only major Puerto Plata hotel chain, the Victoria Resort & Hotels that operates the Casa Colonial, Victoria Resort and Gran Ventana in Playa Dorada. He was 85 years old.
