another update regarding the appeal.
blas peralta appealed to change the classification of his crime from murder to voluntary manslaughter and to have his sentence reduced to 2 years in prison. he also wants to have the compensation to the family of the victim cut from 32 million pesos in total to 1 million pesos per person (there are 5 family members involved).
on the other hand the family of febrillet is asking him to pay 200 million pesos to each.
