That was the original idea, to identify my self on the go with dominicans and this to make more friends here in NC.

That is understandable. I remember how homesick you were when you moved to NC. You worked very hard in the Dominican Republic to come to the United States to make an even better life for your family here.
You should always be proud to be Dominican! You are a good role model for other Dominicans. Now you have two nationalities to be proud of.
