You're right on that but I also wondered if she had such a bad experience in Boca Chica she doesn't want to show her face?

sorry about the updates i HAD to shut my phone off and i didnt bring my laptop so i couldnt give anymore updates. but i had a blast in Boca Chica! its not too bad. i went to the beach several times alone and of course had all the dudes askin if i wanted this and that but all i had to say was "no graicas" and they would walk away. we didnt hang out too much in BC though. we went to the city almost every night to spend it with his friends or his family and he took me to every single tourist spot there was to see! LOL also took me to playa Guayacanes which i liked better than boca chica. it was more relaxing and he knew some people there so we didnt have to pay for parking or chairs. tried a "jonnycake?" YUMMY SALTY GOODNESS!! we also went up to San Francisco de Macoris. my best friends boyfriend lives there and she wanted to spend her birthday there so we ended up driving about an hour outside of San Fran to a mountain retreat that a Dr friend owns, it was GORGEOUS! the next day was sunday so we headed to Santiago to see the Monumento a los heros. and met the most wonderful kids and people there. then off to La Vega for the CARNIVAL!!! it was amazing! CRAZY! the drive back was scary though. traffic is bad anyway but when there are a million people driving drunk on the roads back to Santo Domingo...OMFG! i am really sad to be home now and miss everything...i cant wait to go back!

and thats not true =( i really enjoy talking with all of you and getting ideas and suggestions from those who've experienced it already... and now that im one who's experienced it, i can now "give" "answer" and "offer" my 2 pesos =D

Sounds like you had a great trip. Glad you were not stuck in BC; that can get real old after a couple days. Once you get outside the tourist areas you meet some really nice people and experience some great things. All getaways are nice and good to get back home. The DR however, really has you wanting to go back after a few weeks at home. Boyfriend, girlfriend or not; It really grows on you. Best wishes for a quick return.
i had the best time there! BC isnt all that bad the soldiers with shotguns can get intimidating but just smile and they will smile right back.. jaja nah really i liked BC over all... i would go back only maybe not when my bf has baseball.. and yes DR has my heart forever since my bf now says im 1/2 Dominicana! jajaja
just came back from spending a time in BC.Hotel Mangos is always a good choice,3 weeks there and 1 week at the Hamaca which sucked. Boathouse is still alive and kickin..my fave spot to watch the sunset, Toucantu's still has the best club sandwich..and my local friends as happy as ever. Last days spent in Punta Cana at guesthouse Las Piedras which is beyond beautifully built.
You will be 100% fine. I would say stick with a group at night but that's just common sense anywhere. We took a girls trip there in January and felt super safe the whole time.
