Dulce I agree with you. Nationality has nothing to do with it. But hail to Africaida for the thread. Jackichan, those Friday nights ... Just joking.

Thanks. I would answer your question about are they good lovers but I don't want to hijack the thread. I would start a new one asking do Dominican men make good lovers but I think there was one like that in the past.;)

Hail to Africaida !!!!

I see that Dominican women gather a lot more attention on DR1 :(

Damn, I was about to start another thread about where to meet Dominican men from respectable families :(

Oh, well, I will just pm Chip. Hopefully, he'll let me attend his church, lol :)

Here is a good example: mi pana Roberto primo hermano of my wife and his two beautiful kids. He married an American and they live in Syracuse. Roberto told my wife he was a virgin when he got married. He sang at my wedding. He is a good of a class of person that I have ever met in my life - and funny to boot.

And for those with doubts, those are Roberto's kids. Roberto and my wife's grandfather had light hair and blue eyes judging from a family photo that is in the house of one of his kids.

A Dominican man does not make a good husband by NA women standard. Although while we normally like to provide to the family and go up in life we have the trait of infidelity which is deemed unacceptable and non-tolerable by NA women. We also like to run things at home, be the "leader", a thing a modern NA women does not accept, they want and normally accomplish the control in the house according to their "independent women" belief, even though they're married, a Dominican man will walk out of that situation faster than a NY minute.

In the bed is where we win our accolades with any women in the world, period.

Dominican women are accustomed to this machismo mentality and gladly grants the leadership of the house to a man if she respects him, if she doesn't then poor guy is in for a ride!

What's a good lover? I've always wondered haha! Do nationality prevails on this one? Or is it so derived from accepting one's body and respecting one's partner? Are we prone to be more open to tremor when it is forbidden (religion, tradition, taboo). So many questions.

Good lovers are down for anything.. Religion, tradition, taboo and respect must be ignored.
It has nothing to do with nationality. It is about the willingness to do anything or go the extra mile to please one's partner.

A great lover forgoes his needs to assure his partner is complete!

Is my husband perfect..NO. But this is what got me..I had to have minor surgery. The anesthesia I received really did a number on me. I was sooo nauseous. Everytime I opened my eyes there was hubby with the basin waiting for me to vomit. Not once did he turn away. Held a cool cloth to my face etc... This after 20 years. So is he a good husband,,yes but is he pefect, no. I will take good over perfect.

Marriage, it's all about the person, the individual. It's a composition of the mental, physical and spiritual being combined. Some need the stability, others just need the love. My father is a good husband and my mother is a good wife. After nearly 50 years of marriage I could never see them with anyone else. There were rough, I mean rough times but Papi held tough. So in my book he is a good example of a Dominican, being a good husband.
My little brother also been married for nearly 7 years now, also a stellar husband. There is no whiff of infidelity and they are not just going through the motions. They are in it to win it. So ladies if your looking for a good man, Dominican men are gold. With a Dominican man, your life will never be boring! We dance, we sing, we cook, we know how to do everything. Somos todologo's. We are philosophers, poets and movie stars. We will make you laugh and put a smile on your face. You will live life.
Me I'm single and I'm not looking to get married right now. Life, thank God is good.
I do plan on getting married and I hope to be worthy of someone's love one day but for now voy a seguir siendo un sucio.
;)

Really? I thought it was common for that procedure to be done in the DR.

That procedure (Some call it male genital mutilation) is not common anywhere in the world other than US, Israel and some Muslim countries (for religious reasons), and a few others.

Circumcision/ initiation is a very big thing in Africa. It's considered as a stage every guy has to take to manhood. An uncircumcised fella can't address a group of men, let alone go dating girls. Tradition puts him at the same level as a wife whose SOLE obligation is making babies and raising a family. Other traditions might be slowly fading away, but not w male circumcision. Some indigineous tribes still perform FGM (Female Genital Mutilition) as a way of keeping the woman faithful to her man.

I did mention Muslim countries, but even with those in it's only still about 30% of the world population that does it and most are for religious reasons.
Sorry, I posted as you edited. In any case it was just an off-topic nitpick. :)

The sexual fetishization of Latinos (regardless of skin color but also ingrained with the image of the well-endowed dark-skinned man) as being innately potent lovers comes from sexually frustrated Anglos who have intimacy issues within and amongst their own kind.

I would never consider opinions from such people as relevant because of the myriad and complex dynamics that are involved that cannot simply be packaged into simplistic and facile stereotypes that abound when this subject comes up.

Dominican sexual fetishization comes from easy access to multiple lovers and the low standards of Dominicans when hooking up with foreigners. That doesn't make them good, just cheap and easy.

Big difference.
