No se dice "como tu estas".

Actually the correct way is:

"Como estas tu" in the Caribbean-Cuba, DR and Pto Rico the reverse has become the norm since colonialism.

Pero "como tu estas" me suena medio raro.

I get it now...I think...

Gile = Razor as in (Gillette)
Likoretor = Liquor Store

I would like to say there's a big difference between Dominicans who live in the US and Dominicans from the DR. US Dominicans start talking spanglish (i.e. el toilet, la trucka, etc) after a being here for a little while (I hate it)...Dominicans from the DR do not normally talk like this. In the DR it would be (El Inodoro, la camioneta, etc)

Winchi for windshield. It took me a while to work it out because I say 'windscreen' (GB English).

wiki wiki - fabric dye

That reminded me of
fiki fiki (using your same spelling style because I have no clue how to spell it) - a "gwachiman" said that to me on my first trip, and I asked him what it was, "is it some type of game???" Then he told me...rude jerk...
