Its too late cc. The country is lost. Current debt is somewhere between 47 trillion and 150 trillion depending on who you listen to and what you count as debt. Ie unfunded liabilities. Go with the low number of 47 trillion / 300 million persons=Roughly 156000 per man woman and child. Median income in 2012 for a family of four was 65000. How is a family of four with income of 65k going to service a 625k debt? Plus eat, have a home to live in pay for college, etc etc. Currently more than half the country is a net reciever from the govt. they arent going to be voting for positive change. Nope. They will call for closing bases, cutting military, space programs etc., in order free up funds for their free cheese. The government will give them what they want in return for their votes. The progressives have won, for it is getting progressively worse. But at least we have our first black president and in two more years we will elect our first woman president.
The good news is that if Hillary is anything like Bill she will at least govern from the middle. After 16 years of bush and obama i yearn for the days of Bill.
Greybeard. Quit watching so much msnbc. Avoid alex jones. More good comes from one branch of the military than all the welfare recipients combined. Let them eat cake. The good news is that welfare isnt just for blacks anymore. There are trailer parks across the once great nation filled with white folk who like dining at the government teet also.
And the left wing blamed everything that has ever gone wrong in the world on GW Bush. I dont even so much as dislike obama myself. But he is a socialist. I am a capitalist. But I would drink beer with him any day. But i would rather go out partying with Bill. However i no longer vote in the states and dont give much of a rats ass what they do there. When the libertarians or revolutionist are ready i will return and join the fight. But until then sex, rum and cigars in no particular order.
I dont watch fox news. I dont listen to or watch anybody that doesnt sympathize with the other sides concerns. Or doesnt try to put themselves into others shoes. I am a vet also along with many others on this board. However i would never use that to perpetuate i know it all. I dont know it all. And neither do you. The problem with politics in america is every body has tinted glasses instead of clear glasses.
I will take your word on the welfare cars for white farmers etc. dont know and dont care. But if u recieve welfare or food stamps you should be precluded from voting. Beggars dont get choices. They get what is given to them. Kind of like me giving Brugal white rum or water to dominican guests in my home while i drink Barcelo Imperial. There are exceptions of course. But exceptions dont make rules.
Everything you have said comes straight from alex jones conspiracy nation. Must suck to have such a paranoid schizofrenic mind.
Trust me i am a capitalist in every sense of the word. My business, my stock accounts, epitomizes the very meaning of capitalism. But more than that i am for laize fair brand of capitalism. In other words unregulated. If you want to visit unlicensed doctors or dentists it should be your absolute right. The government should not be in the business of erecting protectionist barriers for anybody.
The navy protects shipping routes that allow you to buy cheap chinese products. The coast guard provides many types of humanitarian help. The crazy money we have spent on defense has brought us wealth beyond our dreams. It has brought us this very internet that we are now using to communicate. The same one i am able to pay my bills with from anywhere in the world.
I know you are concerned over the military industrial complex. Why does LBJ come to mind? But i have one question. There is going to be one top dog nation in the world, that has the might to see its will is done. What country do want that to be?
Corporate Subsidies: We spend $59 billion on social welfare programs, but more than $92 billion on corporate subsidies. According to the Environmental Law Institute, fossil fuel industries alone get more than $70 billion in subsidies, with most going to the oil and gas sector. Yeah, we certainly can?t afford to deprive Exxon of its record profits just to give money to needy kids.
Sheltering Off-Shore Profits: Corporations are given $58 billion* a year in tax breaks for ?deferred? taxes for off shore profits. Yep. Sure want to encourage US companies to hide profits off-shore. Can you say ?job creators??
Capital gains: Rich folks make the majority of their money in the form of dividends and capital gains, which are taxed at only 15%. This allows them to avoid some $59 billion in taxes per year.
Carried interest: Hedge fund managers avoid at least $2.1 billion in taxes a year. This sweet deal ? not available to the ninety-nine percenters, by the way ? lets hedge fund managers and other selected fat cats take what amounts to ordinary wages and have them taxed as if they were capital gains. So instead of being taxed at 35% (39.5% if we eliminate Bush?s tax cuts for the rich) it?s taxed at 15%. Ayn Rand would be proud. Thomas Jefferson, not so much. This amount ? $2.1 billion ? is roughly equivalent to the entire budget for the Administration on Aging. Wouldn?t want to deprive millionaire and billionaire hedge fund managers of their windfall just to help a lot of old geezers.
Bank Bailouts: Then there?s the $700 billion bank bailout ? to rescue banks from problems they themselves created. Yes it got paid back; and yes, we had to do something. But the reason this money was little more than welfare was because the banks got to do what they wanted to with it. It could have come with strings ? we could have insisted that they write down mortgages to market value or allowed refinancing at lower interest rates or longer amortization periods. We could even have given the money directly to stressed homeowners, instead of the banksters who caused the problem. Any of these approaches would have prevented defaults, slowed ? or even reversed ? the precipitous declines in real estate values, and given low and middle income consumers some ability to consume, which, at the end of the day is the real ?job creator.? And we most certainly could have insisted that banks money loan out the money to small businesses and home buyers.
But we did nothing like that. Instead, we allowed the banks to play a high stakes game of pump-and-dump ? complete with flash trading ? with our money. Instead of loans designed to jump start the economy, we got risky investments underwritten with our tax money that paid off only the Wall Street elite.
Talk about welfare. Talk about your welfare kings and queens. It doesn?t get any more obscenely selfish and opportunistic than this.
$9 Trillion in Low and No Interest Loans from the Fed: And now for the mother of all welfare programs, how about $9 trillion loaned at below market rates ? some of it as low as .5%. Here again, this money disappeared into the money vaults of the select few, rather than benefiting the common good.
And here again, we could have insisted that public money be used to serve the public good. But instead, it was given as white-collar welfare ? a freeby to the real welfare kings and queens ? the financial sector and the fat cats they serve.
To the extent conservatives acknowledge these facts, they justify it with a neo-Reaganomics logic that the wealthy and the corporations who receive this largess are the ?job creators.?
But here?s the deal. As long as the middle class is in debt and feeling insecure, no company in its right mind will invest in expanding or any other type of job creation. Why on earth would they? If people aren?t buying your service or product now, how will making more of your product or expanding your capacity to provide your service make them do it? And Paris Hilton, Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan and other millionaires can only buy so many yachts; so many second, third, fourth or fifth homes. They simply don?t have the numbers to lead to an economic recovery.
The proof of this is in the numbers. Corporations are sitting on over $2 trillion in profits. What job creation is occurring is happening overseas in China, India and other low wage countries.
So the next time some conservative comes up to you praising the power of the free market and bemoaning the welfare state or our slide into socialism or some other mindless talking point, make a deal with them. Tell ?em we?ll agree to cut welfare by 90%, but we get to decide whose welfare gets cut.
Case in point. More Neoconservative absurdity. Sometimes you have intelligent posts, but it's all lost in the blatant partisanship, bias and extremism.Frank, you mean there's a "Hole" to use to make babies????????
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOooooohhhhhhhhh", so THAT's what that "Big One" in front is used for!!!!!!!!
I NEVER realized that!
CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
Lace "Presidente" with "Chemical Castration" drugs.
"Problemo" solved!!!!!
"Section8",Medicaid,Food Stamps, and many other government "Safety Net" programs were just fine when first started.
SOME people need a "Supportive Hand".
The problem ALWAYS IS, the "Government" expands all "Programs" to levels that are not needed, and can't be sustained.
Do 50% of the people in the USA NEED "Food Stamps"??????
Human nature being what it is, we all love a "Free Cheese Sandwich".
SOME entity has to put the "Brakes" on "Entitlements", before run away Entitlements "Brakes" the US economy!!!!!!

I dont like corporate welfare any more or any less than any other type of welfare. But iwas specifically responding to your statement that 80% of recipients are white. They are not. In fact it is half that number. Only thing that needs to come out of your butt is poop. Not some number you just figure nobody will check. I check. I check a lot of things.
Anyway it seems we agree in part. I am against farmers getting welfare. I would let the poor live in tents or without. I would have let the banks fail, the car companies fail. Screw them and their unions. Arriba toyota. I would let little kids starve if their parents let that happen to them. Or they could turn them over to orphanages. I would willingly contribute to orphanages. In fact i would probably adopt many. But i would teach the kids to fish instead of asking for fish. And i think many other like minded libertarians would also.
It is funny you mention Ayn Rand. I love her writings. She is spot on. I have read Atlas Shrugged. I have read all of her published essays. She really only has one short coming. And that would be here isolationist view of the world. The world is smaller than it ever has been. The oceans no longer act as the barrier it did 100+ years ago.
One other thing, if i remember my constitution correctly and the federalist papers that sold the constitution to the people. The only legitimate function of federal governent is a common defense and ensuring interstate commerce. Feeding kids, farmers, feral pigs or near extinct birds does not fall under either one of those functions.
I also have one question. If rich people get their income from capital gains then how is the bush tax cut for the rich? Or are the bush tax cuts for the wannabe rich. You know the higher earning working class. The ones that are working hard and smart to accumulate wealth. What i think is that both parties are protecting their wealthy contributors. But just come out and say it. We want some of the money (wealth)you have saved up over your lifetime so we can use it on our own pet projects.
Another thing i have never understood, is why people believe that money earned or gained outside the US should be reported to and taxed by the US government. And then wonder why corporations such as Apple or GE dont want to bring their money back home. Why would they? You would have to have a complete disregard for your investors to deliberately lose THEIR money. Lapher curve ?
My problem with conservatives is their over reaching concern into peoples personal lives. My problem with liberals is their victimhood approach to nearly everything. And too many lefties come across as humans are the polution on the planet. No room in my life for either of those types of people.

Like this?
Dr. Avery's Useless Crap: The White American Heterosexual Christian Conservative Victim Complex.
What I find is generally that on the Neoconservative side, their main affliction is generally whatever they accuse everyone else of. If they say someone is racist, it's because they use that to hide their own. If they say someone cries "victim" they use it to hide their own victimhood. Fortunately, for those of us who know better and know the game, their whining falls on deaf ears.
Both the left and the right are full of it. Democrats are self absorbed. Republicans are self righteous. People vote Democrat because they identify with the "little guy" people vote Republican because they feel that the GOP will protect their own entitlements and White privilege which trumps all other entitlements. People look at the Democrats as the protector of the common man, people view the GOP as the protector of White society. Go figure. Both are pretty much the same as they both have their constituents fooled enough to vote against their own interests.
The Republican South, where voters primarily vote GOP all the way, has the bottom 10 states in health care, education, and the highest percentage of individuals on welfare, yet it's the same people who want everyone else's welfare cut while they maintain their own.
Actually, it's about 70%. Just a little bit higher than the percentage of the population which is anywhere from 62-67%.
