Talking about losing out on things by listening to morons on TV and the Internet. Read this. The greatest tennis player in the World just got kicked out of one of the four Majors in tennis for refusing to be vaccinated. And if you know anything about tennis this was some blow for him. One more major and he would have the most Grand Slam tennis wins in history.

Novak Djokovic: Tennis star deported after losing Australia visa battle

Novak Djokovic has been deported from Australia after losing a last-ditch court bid to stay in the country.
Judges rejected a challenge launched by the unvaccinated tennis star after the government cancelled his visa on "health and good order" grounds.
The world number one's hopes of defending his Australian Open title and winning a record 21st Grand Slam in Melbourne are over.

A makeshift Covid ward at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Victor J. Blue for The New York Times
1. The U.S. is bracing for more staff shortages in the nation’s health care system after the Supreme Court made a critical decision on vaccine mandates.
The ruling, which upholds the Biden administration’s requirement for millions of health care workers to be vaccinated against Covid, could wedge workers between opposing state and federal policies as hospitals wrestle with resistance among some staff. Many hospitals are already under strain from the biggest surge of Covid-19 patients since spring 2020. In New York City, there are simply not enough nurses to care for them all.
While health care providers now have a clear mandate, U.S. businesses are largely on their own. The court’s decision to block the vaccine mandate for big companies means it’s now up to chief executives to decide when and how to pursue a “new normal.”

2. Novak Djokovic will not play in the Australian Open after a panel of judges upheld the government’s decision to revoke the unvaccinated tennis star’s visa.
The decision came a day before the start of the tournament. Djokovic said in an emailed statement that he was “extremely disappointed” but that he respected the ruling. Follow live updates here.
Djokovic, the world’s No. 1-ranked men’s tennis player, arrived in Australia hoping to defend his Australian Open title. Instead, he is at the center of some of the most divisive debates of the pandemic: individual versus community, science versus quackery.
The saga has cast a shadow over the tournament. Our reporter asked other tennis players how they felt about the case.

Novax Novak is a 2nd class human as far as Australia is concerned. Who knew that the Wuhan Labs virus would wreak such economic damage, along with deaths and serious illness, restrictions on living normally, profits for pharmaceutical companies, and now segregate humans into new social classes? Perhaps the most effective virus ever because of all of its uses?

I believe people that take this sort of position on an issue expect that this will be a probable outcome. His career is farm from over.

No it is definitely not over. But this was a tournament that he already won NINE times and most likely would have won again to break the all time Grand Slam Record. And what about another Grand Slam called the US Open. How does he as an unvaccinated foreigner get in the US under the current rules? Stupidity I call it....................

Gee he has his health. He didn't need the vaccine, and won't have heart/immune issues in the future.
You think he needs more millions ?
The Australian Open will not have him for 3 more years.
Who is less for it - The Australian Open that's who

Keep on boosting and not only will you be more susceptible to Covid you will open yourself up to more diseases as each jab reduces your immunity.
Recent Danish and German studies confirm this as your future:

So why did the Australian Government send him a letter saying he had a dispensation to come for the tournament before he ever left to fly ?
Just playing with him to prove a point or they are incompetent .

If you had any clue about what happened here you would find something else to crow about. He claimed an exemption that DID NOT exist and filled a false form for entry. The only reason he got court hearings is because of who he was. Anyone else would have been on the next plane out...............

The most noteable thing is that he has already had covid, and thus natural immunity.

That means as much to the rules for entering Australia as the middle of a bagel. There is no exemption for having Covid before. And as far as natural immunity after having Covid we already know that you can easily get it again................

Hold on their scooter - You are just blowing air, as usual. More prone to reinfection if you had a vaccine over 30 days ago.
So keep on boosting, until you have no immune system left for any illness
But if you had Covid and recovered you have a least 8 months (if not more) of protection

These are NIH numbers - and I don't trust them actually but figured you would not argue with Fauci's pronouncements

As usual your response has nothing to do with what we are talking about. Which is Australia's rules for entry. Not the usual rhetoric you post on a daily basis...............................

Australia has more than 92% of its population fully vaccinated and a large percentage boosted as well and yet they are still having a surge in Omicron variation infections. As far as Novack, the rules are the rules and if bent for one person because of their status, the Australian public would have a right to be more pissed off at their government than they already are. The Draconian methods used by their government haven't set well with most Australians.

I agree with this. But as we know vaccines do NOT stop the spread of Omicron. They are there to keep you out of serious consequences after infection. Nothing more....................

I have read the Djokovik articles...

The exemption was granted and approved in court

He was deported b/c of his behavior after infection - socializing - and false entries on his entry form
He was deemed a threat to the country and it's views.

But seriously, he was given a break initially b/c of WHO HE IS..... nothing more
He's gone - that's it.... for 3 yrs, I expect
