As I recall, the number from the whole of Dominican Republic last year was exactly the same as the number of people shot to death in the city of Chicago in the U.S.A. over the same period. I'm going with 28. No guess on how many survive their injuries.

Let's hope and pray the D.R. does better than Chicago year over year because Chicago's numbers this year sadly are way over last year.

depends on their working schedule, i guess? many companies will work half day on thursday and then friday off. some may be closed on saturday as well.

I'm going to put a little predictive twist in this years estimate. Over 2014 stoning to death became a little more of a regular thing,
and 2015 they began setting fire to each other,, all as part of the public lynching ethic. Gone are the days where they were
strapped to a post and whipped with electrical cable. And so I'm going to predict a spike in barbaric lynchings over the
holiday on top of the lowest number of traffic deaths in 10 years. Just an overall higher number of people killing each other willfully,
and taking pride in it.
