it is now here at my place completely calm, you can almost smell the calm before a storm.
right now as i type starts an other little burst of shower,.
cloud cover should get thicker soon, tho.

As of the 2 pm interim report the wind is strengthening, with maximum wind speed near 50 mph, and expected to continue until it comes over our island. Being over land helps to keep wind speed down until it enters the Gulf of Mexico after passing over Cuba.

this storm stayed completely unimpressed by PR Mountains, did not change a thing, even intensifies since the Surface Low left PR.

the first part is only light stuff as see in PR on approach.

as said before, the heavy tackle starts hours after the Center already left.

Yes, I have. So far so good. We had a few rainy moments so far today. LIght winds if any.

We will see what the night brings in Cabarete as the storm goes by a bit south.

Its strange that satellite/radar shows most intense activity to the South now, but the strong winds are almost always to the N and NE of the storm center. I suppose rainfall in the mountains will be extensive, at least its a fast moving storm and didn't intensify between the 2pm and 5pm update.

it crossed the whole Mona Passage straight West.
the Center is now located S of the Cape, even S of the southern tip of Yuma.
Tracking still WEST.
real rain should start along the PC coastline in less than an hour.
