I am feeling pangs of doubt for spoofing whomever emailed Escott to suggest the July 4th party be held on Sunday, July 3rd, instead... when July 3rd was the day all along.
er... it occurred to me there might still be some corners of the planet that do not know the cultural meaning of "July 4th" in the US of A, especially given the fact that February 27th is the name of the game in this country.
If so, this person would expect that a July 4th party could only be held on July 4th.
So, if the suggestion were made innocently from one of the corners of the planet still in the dark ... my apologies.
Secretly, I am hoping the suggestion came from an alien, it would be totally kewl and would raise the bar for parties everywhere if we got our first alien here.
Please, alien, come to the party!! Please.

Starting to look like a real PARTY
Well ... I guess you can remove the "maybe" after my name and change it to a resounding "Hell yes!!!"
Just spoke with Mia's father and due to yet another school he has to attend, he will be here on Wednesday instead of the beginning of July. So I'm planning to get the hell out of Dodge (or get the hell out of Raleigh in my case) on the 19th which is a week from tomorrow. So excited! Will miss the little one tremendously but of course I need to get all settled in down there first before she becomes an islander.
Also, I think I'm getting a really good deal on airfare and it's even out of Raleigh/Durham! The ticket I'm loooking at on Expedia has one stop and is only $382! Wow! I can't even fly out of Charlotte or D.C. for less than 500 bucks. Hopefully this is a good omen! And I think I might be breaking a record for the most exclamation points in a single paragraph!
