You misread. My post was that the majority were behind the changes 100%. I didn't say that 100% of Dominicans were behind it.
Yes, the beach vendors don't want any changes. But it's coming. The beach vendors and pc biz owners need to prepare for it.
The beach vendor have an entirely different situation with the plan to move all vendors to buildings at the ends of the beach, if and when that plan ever actually happens. Are the powers that be still thinking about that?

If I were on vacation, it would be too far. imo

Can someone help me out here... I am confused.
Which is it?
Are the Tourists (with the Monger/Chicas) coming out earlier to ?save? the Bars
(sorry the Restaurants, I don't know why I think they're Bars)
or
Are the Monger/Chicas not coming out earlier...
Just Tourists come out earlier because Sosua is a Family Holiday Nirvana
(I really don't want to watch the Monger/Chicas during my meal with my Wife)
If what the authorities have done by setting the hours to 12 midinight weekdays and 3 AM (not sure of the exact weekend time) on the weekends is illegal as some insist, then why are the business owners not challenging this in a court of law where it can be settled without any doubt instead of holding meetings?
And yes, overweight couch potato tourists find walking more than 350 steps on uneven sidewalks in the sun an intensely objectionable experience to be avoided at all costs. Motos are usually too small for these folks so a taxi stand outside would be helpful. Know your customers...
Prepare to have hungry children? or maybe start developing android apps?
Yes, all of the businesses must go to make room for the condos.
If I were on vacation, it would be too far. imo
Considering that most sane Tourists do NOT rent Cars on their first couple trips, and as was said most dont want to use Motos,
Yes that is quite a FAR WALK, especially if there are other Hotel Options, with a VIEW of the Ocean perhaps.
For an Expat , or someone who lives there its probably a preferred location to be away from the mayhem,. but is you are a Hotel attracting Beach Goers ?
They would need to provide a Shuttle Service. Cuz the Taxis would surely overcharge all their guests, Like they do to and from Charamicos / El Batey.
It's only Sosua.
Wow, I guess the people who are making the single largest investment in Sos?a in many years should have consulted you two.
Look, this isn't Willy trying desperately to open his latest disco on Pedro Clisante. This is a group of serious investors who will be spending multiple millions of dollars converting La Esplanada into a modern hotel. This is no small project. La Esplanada as it stands has almost 250 rooms in nine separate buildings apart from the reception building and restaurant.
I think they have some idea as to the proximity of their property to Sos?a beach and also as to what their guests' perception might be.
Yes it is, and perhaps that 100 meter section of Pedro Clisante from City Lights to Club X, which has turned into a virtual sh1thole, won't drag the rest of Sos?a down with it.
