Where and who stated this? Sorry to ask but I didn't see that anywhere, at least in the reports I saw in American media. If I missed it, sorry to ask.

I posted a couple of American news station reports from today. Albeit not as detailed but still casting doubt on the ladies story of the chain of events.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic— Police in the Dominican Republic are investigating an attack on a U.S. tourist in Punta Cana that the woman recently made public on social media, detailing a vicious hours-long assault by a man she said was wearing the uniform of an all-inclusive resort.
Police spokesman Col. Frank Durán said that immediately after authorities heard of the January attack investigators went to the hospital where 51-year old Tammy Lawrence-Daley of Delaware was being treated, took her testimony and collected evidence from where she said the assault took place.
"There is a lot of conjecture about the case, a lot of information that doesn't match some of the statements," Durán said Friday. "We have to wait for the investigation to end."

And who said there were massive discrepancies in her report. Spare me, the dominican police,? who are looking to protect who? And who said they were looking to "blackmail"? (Them are pretty harsh terms). The hotel right?

But bigbird, that's what I'm referring to... All this coming from dominican police, who are not exactly straight shooters at the best of times. They and the govt have big reasons to manipulate facts. This is the big elephant in the room obviously. We need to protect the country's reputation. So it has turned into this who did what.

and the woman has big reason to manipulate things to get a big payday.............. i would think the PN would be cautious and careful of what they report as they are under a big magnifying glass .........
I don't know, waiting four months to go public? I agree with a previous post the woman was trying to negotiate a deal to keep quiet. When her terms were not met she decided to twist the tale a bit and try to do damage to the hotel. Trust me, the PN are just starting to dig up the "dirty laundry in her closet". In time it will all come out.........

If my memory is still working I thought I read she tried to make a cell call to get help but couldn't get a signal. There was no specific mention of a camera but going to take photos I would guess she took her Nikon. One photo shows her with a Nikon neck strap so I am guessing it was holding a Nikon camera. Did she wear flip flops and they remained on her feet the entire time?

Whoever did the beating knew exactly where he was taking her as there wouldn't be a lot of time for kicking doors, possibly a disgruntled employee that was going to give a beating to the first woman that came by ?
how about a disgruntled other tourist, who paid the passage and hotel fees of Bessie Sue from the accounting department, only to have to hear her say that she does not give it up on the first vacation. it's enough to make a guy think homicidal thoughts, especially since he busted his Master Card with the charges, and his credit rating is going to get shellacked..
maybe he wanted to beat Bessie, but that would have been too obvious, so he took out his bile on a close lookalike, and our lady of the newsreel just happened to be in the wrong place at an entirely wrong time...

The true victimization of the victim is that none of this would have gone public if $200,000 had been paid.
the Dominican Republic is the real victim here. yes, i know the woman in question is a victim of a horrific incident, but hatching a plot to defame the hotel and its staff is disreputable.
and, yes...i stand by the belief that no Dominican in a hotel uniform did this. guys who get a job in a hotel consider themselves to have hit the jackpot. they are not going to blow a passage to upward mobility beating up an absolute stranger...

Or she got beat somewhere else like her own hotel room and went running looking for a place to hide. She had seen the door to the crawl space open earlier so she hid in there. Beat to a pulp, scared, a little booze and she passed out for a few hours sleeping............

as i said, some sleuth is going to get busy, and stuff is going to come out. the DR is a country, with a budget that is bigger than that of this woman and her husband. it does not take much for Danilo to make some phone calls to find out who is the best private detective around, and to cut him a cheque.

She was wearing some sort of shoes, unspecified, as the female member of the couple they were with on holiday recognised her shoes when they found her. Which reminds me, there is zero information about the other couple, Diane and James Doering. And no statement or corroboration from them.
