Yesterday turned out nice with sun around and a reasonable breeze.
Today started with clear skies except for a few scattered clouds. Sun is now up and should be a nice day?
Seas relatively calm with some small shore break in the bay.
Now 08.30am - got it wrong again!!! It's just clouded over with ominous dark black clouds!! But ... fingers crossed there are still some clear blue patches.
Now 09.00am - the breeze blew the clouds away! The sun is back out!

Friday 26.11.04 @ 06.45am

Yesterday was a mish mash of clear sky and sun and then cloudy periods, but the wind picked up in the afternoon a bit.
A dry night with slightly higher humidity.
Lovely dawn with the old sailor's warning red sky but the clouds cleared and it has turned out nice now. A few scattered clouds but plenty of blue sky at the moment.
Seas are calm but sufficient shore break to keep the tourists amused.
(Hlywud - keep shovelling, but remember.....more people die from heart attacks whilst shovelling snow than those that die from falling coconuts)!

A nice bright day yesterday.
Plenty of blue sky this morning but there is a big bank of low cloud out towards the east. We'll have to see what the day brings?

Another nice day yesterday with intermittent cloud cover but generally bright.
The early clouds cleared today and now it's bright and sunny. Seas calm again.

Monday 29.11.04 @ 07.00am

Yesterday turned out nice with a good breeze in the pm. It was a bit chilly out of the sun and in the shade, but.... other than that, it was a pleasant day.
This morning's sun is up and the weather is fine and clear. A few early scattered clouds around but these seem to have gone now.
Sea is calm and the shore break only 1 to 2 feet.

Tuesday 30.11.04 @ 06.45am

Yesterday was pleasant again, plenty of sun with a few scattered clouds throughout the day. We did have a few spots of rain in the late evening but nothing serious.
Woke up today to a rather chilly morning, rather damp from the humidity but with a clear sky. Some clouds out to sea to the north but generally clear over town - and the sun came up around 7.10am and warmed up the beach. Currently still clear but with the odd scattered cloud passing by. (08.30am).

Wednesday 01.12.04 @ 07.15am

Yesterday deteriorated becoming dull and overcast later in the morning. Then we had some rain in the afternoon but this did not last too long. A dry night as far as I can tell.
This morning it's dull and overcast with rain falling well out to sea. At 08.00am we had a small rain shower over Cabarete and it's looking a little dark overhead at the moment - could be more rain on the way?
Sea state is good if you're a surfer as the waves are up and the surf is looking good!

Thursday 02.12.04 @ 06.35am

Yesterday did not improve much through the day. Overcast and cloudy with short spells of sunshine. We had a very short light rain around 1.00pm over Pro Cab but the day was generally dry.
A chilly night but the rain held off and we woke to a clear sky and a lovely dawn. Skies are clear now except for a bank of cloud out to sea over the horizon. It's still rather chilly but the sun is shining and should soon warm it up.
Sea is good with a nice surf - shore break of 1 to 1.5 metres in places along the bay and on Bozo Beach. Surfers out at Encuentro at the crack of dawn.

Friday 03.12.04 @ 06.55am

Yesterday stayed overcast with bright spells but it did rain for 15 minutes around 4.00pm. Then at 7.00pm it hissed down - heavy heavy rain for 20 minutes or so - there were also a couple of light showers in the night.
This morning at dawn it was not looking good either - dark black clouds all around. It did rain for a few minutes around 07.05am on the beach but this seems to have cleared a little now. Sky is still overcast but there are a few clear spots. The early morning sun is trying it's best to shine at the moment.
Sea is not bad with a shore break in places of up to 1 metre.

Saturday 04.12.04 @ 06.55am

Yesterday turned out quite nice really - lots of sunny spells but it did cloud up a bit later in the day. No rain though!
This morning is very nice. the sun came up and the skies are clear. Some clouds out at sea but generally it looks like it could be a good day.
Sea state - calm with 1 to 2 feet inshore waves.

Sunday 05.12.04 @ 07.00am

Yesterday became hazy and overcast as the day went on.
Rain and wind in the night with a short shower at 04.00am.
This morning it was still quite windy and very dull and overcast but it did stay dry until about 08.50am - then it rained a bit and then it rained a bit more! Currently still showers and dull and dreary @ 09.50am.
Sea state calm with a bit of wind chop but no real surf yet.

Monday 06.12.04 @ 06.40am

Yesterday stayed rainy for most of the morning but cleared up a bit in the pm. A dry evening and night.
This morning it's dull and overcast with a heap of dark black clouds all around. Some bright patches but generally not looking good!
Sea is relatively calm with little or no surf.
At 08.45am - Just to indicate how localised the rain can be - small light drizzle shower in pro Cab, huge downpour with over an inch of rain at Playa Rinconada (2 Kms to the East of Cabarete)!

Tuesday 07.12.04 @ 07.00am

Yesterday remained dull and overcast with showers and a few brighter spells. It rained again in the night but only showers.
Early morning was cloudy and a few spots of rain still falling here and there. Skies are clearing a bit but there are still clouds up there. Fingers crossed that the blue bits get bigger throughout the day?
Sea is relatively clam with little or no shore break to speak of.

Wednesday 08.12.04 @ 07.00am

This is getting boring now!!
Yesterday was much the same as the day before - overcast and dull with bright spells. Late afternoon it became very dull but cleared a little during the evening and you could actually see the stars in the night sky for a bit. It did rain for a very short time on the beach around 8.00pm but this didn't last. It also rained a bit during the night.
This morning, early - there was a great deal of clear blue sky over Cabarete and to the South, but out to sea and to the East were those black clouds again! It's getting darker and more dull and overcast as I type and we just had a very short but light shower of rain in Pro Cab. Looking very black over Bill's Mother's house though - as they say back home.
Sea state is much the same as earlier in the week - today it's quite calm again, not 'clam' as yesterday's report indicated! Little shore break in the bay and not much bigger on Bozo Beach so don't break out those surf boards just yet.

It rained a bit in the night again.
Today is much the same as yesterday with dark clouds in the sky, some bright patches now and the sun is trying to break through.
Sea is again relatively flat and calm with little or no shore break.

Friday 10.12.04 @ 06.55am

Well, yesterday turned out to be brighter than expected for most of the day but there were dull moments. It did rain in the evening but nothing serious.
This morning dawned bright and clear and the sun is up! Skies are a little hazy but in general they are clear except for a bank of clouds out at sea. Should/could be a nice day?
Seas are slightly up with a shore break of less than a metre.
There's a slight breeze blowing which could turn into a nice wind later?

Saturday 11.12.04 @ 06.55am

Me and my big mouth!! Yesterday deteriorated wih overcast skies and rain later in the day!! But the wind did blow for a bit.
This morning it's bright again and the sun came up to warm the beach early. There's a slight breeze blowing at the moment (09.00am).
The local lads tell me that there's surf at Encuentro but in the bay it's only 1 to 2 feet.

Sunday 12.12.04 @ 07.30am

Yesterday stayed bright for most of the day but did become a little overcast later in the afternoon. The night stayed dry and clear.
Nice sunrise this morning and the sun has stayed out and it's looking bright.
The occassional 1 metre surf out on the reef but in general the sea is relatively calm again. Some small shore break in the bay and the odd 1 metre waves on Bozo Beach.

Monday 13.12.04 @ 06.55am

Yesterday remained sunny and bright all day - very nice.
This morning it looks clear and the sun is already up. There is a ground mist over the vegetation, fields and lagoon behind Cabarete so the humidity was up in the night but this will burn off as the sun warms up.
Seas fairly calm.
